Lead Microsoft BI Developer

Job Description
Our client is seeking to hire a Business Intelligence Developer to join an industry leader in the Professional Services industry.  Ideal candidate will have solid experience utilizing the Microsoft stack while working with external clients to deliver customized BI Solutions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Working with data owners/systems owners to develop proper requirements and system specifications
  • Working with Microsoft BI Stack (especially with SSIS, SSRS and Power BI) to develop custom data warehousing and reporting solutions
  • Leading the development effort as either a team lead or architect
  • Managing data profiling and design models
  • Managing data sources to target mapping (ETL planning and design)
  • Working with ETL Developers (or create ETL as needed)
  • Working with Visualization Developers - Excel, SSRS Power BI (or create visualizations as needed)
  • Working with Project Manager to establish plans yet work with the team in agile way

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience with BI/DW with at least half that with Microsoft BI stack
  • 5+ years relevant experience  with  data centric projects such as data warehouses, data marts, relational and dimensional models, analytics and reporting
  • Understanding of Kimball methodologies
  • Experience in handling large datasets and the ability to manage and gather requirements for a data warehouse
  • Experience working collaboratively with both business and technical team members
  • Ability to both help design and propose solutions that solve business problems
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task between projects
  • Excellent organization and customer service skills
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently at all levels both verbally and in writing
